Taylor Gugliuzza Named GLVC Player of the Year, Five Named All-GLVC

The Great Lakes Valley Conference released it's 2024-2025 women's basketball post season awards ahead of it's conference tournament on Thursday, with Lewis University getting much praise out of the award cycle.
Player of the Year - (New Lenox, Ill./Lincoln-Way West)
The New Lenox, IL native wins the GLVC Player of the Year award after leading the charge during the Flyers historic season. Gugliuzza led the Flyers in Points per game at 16.2 which also gave her the sixth highest ppg in the conference. Posted a new career high against Rockhurst back on (1/25/2025) with 34 points against the Hawks. Gugliuzza finished out the regular season with 421 points, 127 rebounds, 69 assists, 34 steals and 2 blocks.
ALL GLVC FIRST-TEAM
(New Lenox, Ill./Lincoln-Way West)
(Oak Lawn, Ill./Mother McAuley) - The redshirt senior from Oaklawn, IL, acted as the Flyers field general, or air commander more appropriately leading the team in assists this season. Se had the third most overall assists in the conference this season with 105, at the same time she added 277 points, 159 rebounds, 36 steals and 6 blocks.
ALL GLVC SECOND-TEAM
(La Grange, Ill./Lyons Township) - The Flyers go to second option on the offensive end posted the second most total points on the season with 277, Cesarini also holds the title of the school's first ever Raising Canes Play of the Game for her game winner over Upper Iowa. Cesarini added 159 rebounds, 61 assists, 42 steals and 12 blocks.
ALL GLVC THRID-TEAM
(Moline, Ill./Illinois Central College) - McNamee was a reliable and tough to beat paint presence for the Flyers this season with the second most blocks on the team with 17 on the season. 231 points, 135 rebounds, 16 assists and 14 steals to go along it.
ALL GLVC FRESHMAN-TEAM
(Bolingbrook, Ill./Bolingbrook) - In her inaugural season, the Boilingbrook native notched valuable minutes for the Flyers this season having the sixth most minutes on the team. 152 points, 46 rebounds, 48 assists, 13 steals and four blocks to wrap up her first ever regular season with the Flyers.
